'62 Corvair magazine ad

FAMILY SEDAN WITH A SPORTS CAR POINT OF VIEW. Copy by Ray Clark and photography by Warren Winstanley. The picture was made at the Detroit Metropolitan Beach parking lot and allthe white lines and the big arrow were already there. When we used the pylons they had not been used to boredom as they have been now. Remember at this time we were just getting away from art and into photography for many of our illustrations. I thought the white line leading all the way through the picture and on through the copy to the logo was a neat design feature. It made the two blocks of copy uneven but I think that added to the whole thing. I always thought it was important to find some element to make the design of each ad distinctive. Easier said than done sometimes.
