'64 Chevrolet-The Great Highway Performer

NOTHING FEELS STEEP IN A CHEVROLET IMPALA [ including the price! ] This copy was right on Chevrolet marketing back then and still what they are selling today--more car for the money. Chevrolet has always been the value leader for General Motors and nothing much has changed except the competition is tougher today than ever. I like to think about the Corvette and what they have done with it in terms of value. Sure it's expensive--back then I couldn't have imagined a Chevy that cost even half what they get for the Corvette today. But, when you look at what you get for the money, if you can afford one, there isn't a better value around. The Corvette holds its own with cars that cost twice as much. And, if you happen to have a convertible like the Impala in this ad, in pretty good condition, today it is worth a ton. Just check out HEMMINGS Motor News magazine to see. If you want to buy one today, plan on spending lots more than it cost new. I love what's happening to old Chevys and others too.
